Advanced Beginners Mah Jongg

Advanced Beginners Mah Jongg

Now that you’ve mastered the tile names and can identify the difference between a ONE BAM and a FLOWER, this class will help you perfect your strategy! This series runs for 3 sessions on Tuesday mornings from March 14 to 28

Players will become more familiar with the hands on the 2022 card, identify common patterns, and increase their playing speed. Tile passing and defensive playing techniques will be explored further. Most importantly, there will be supervised play.

This series of Advanced Mah Jongg classes is intended for players who have already had an introduction to American Mah Jongg. Games are nonbetting as gambling is not allowed in the library.

Library will provide 2022 rule cards for class use. If you'd like your own rule card to keep, cards can be purchased online from the National Mah Jongg League

Supplies for this program are made possible by the Friends of the Westwood Library and a generous donation.
